OBJECTIVE:  This course provides practical guidance on safe techniques when using equipment for slinging and lifting and a full appreciation of the related legal responsibilities.

  • Safety awareness around the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER 98).
  • Planning the lift.
  • Selection of lifting equipment.
  • Attaching the lifting equipment to the load.
  • Lifting the load.
  • Setting the load down.
  • Care and storage of lifting equipment.
