It will help operators to upskill towards doing first line maintenance in a Factory Environment and also be a spring board for Electrical Engineers to ‘Multi Skill’ into both disciplines. It is not intended as a substitute to a formal qualification in Mechanical Maintenance but has been used successfully in the past as a starting point to work towards that goal.

Days 1 to 4 = Workshop training to include:

  • Bearings
  • Belts
  • Chains
  • Sprockets
  • Shaft Alignment
  • Conveyer Maintenance
  • Correct use of hand tools associated with the above
  • The course is assessed practically and delivered in both classroom and workshop sessions.

Day 5 = Hydraulics/Pneumatics training to include:

  • Basic function of components
  • Fault Finding techniques
