Aidy joined HETA in 2008 and has responsibility for all things IT across the 3 HETA training centres.
With over 15 years in the IT field, Adrian was ready to take on the next challenge in the ever changing world of IT. After having gained work experience in New Zealand as an IT Support Office for the Hutt Valley Health and returning to the UK working as a Network Administrator for Darby Glass he started his employment with HETA in August 2008.
With the rapid growth of HETA’s core business over the past 5 years has brought with it its own challenges and Adrian identified HETA as a great company to work for. ‘With the ever changing world of IT, I saw HETA as a company where I could make a difference and also improve my own knowledge base and skills’.
Since starting with HETA Adrian’s roles have included the implementation of polices and procedures as well as updating the infrastructure. Other responsibilities include the Administration of the network, procurement of new equipment and technologies as well as managing projects to help reduce overheads, streamline the business and improve efficiencies though the use of IT.
An example of such efficiencies has seen the implementation of virtual servers and desktops along with the reduction in print throughput through the use of electronic documentation and training materials.
Managing a small team, Adrian covers all three sites travelling to each location at least once a week and works closely with the Management Team to assist in their own goals and objectives.
