Since opening its doors in 1967, HETA have always worked with schools across the Humber to inspire the next generation and to raise awareness of engineering as an exciting and sustainable employment opportunity. We believe that by helping students make an informed choice about their career leads to the successful and enthusiastic engineers of the future.
Inspiring enough young people to consider a career in engineering to solve the skills shortage requires work from parents, teachers and engineering businesses. We want to ensure that children are excited, engaged and encouraged to make STEM subject choices, which will help them to develop the engineering and technical skills required to solve global problems.
