From September 2024 HETA will be enrolling students onto the new Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs).
The Higher National Certificate (HNC) is a Level 4 qualification made up of 120 credits. It is studied part-time over two years (40 weeks per year). We are able to offer this programme as 2 pathways:

Completing your Higher National here at HETA means you will be completing your HND at the leading engineering training provider in the Yorkshire and Humber region, giving you access to the best facilities, resources, and instructors in your area. Last year our HND students received a 100% pass rate, meaning you can be confident the training you will recieve here will be of the highest industry standard, and your chance of success will be immeasurable. Furthermore, 64% of last year's HETA HND students went on to university, with 100% of past HETA learners leaving university with a first class honours, or a 2
Current advanced apprentices should achieve a Level 3 BTEC in Engineering. Applications from ‘mature’ Engineering technicians with suitable equivalent qualifications are welcomed and previous engineering experience may be considered as evidence of suitability for the course.
