Basic Mechanical Maintenance is designed for Factory Line Operators or Electrical Engineers, to gain some basic introductory level skills around Mechanical Maintenance Techniques.It is not intended as a substitute to a formal qualification in Mechanical Maintenance but has been used successfully in the past as a starting point to work towards that goal.

This course is made up of 4 days workshop training; this consists of Identification and application of bearings. Candidates should be able to understand the manufacturers code written on new bearing. Their application in transmission units with both Chain and Belt drives. How to measure belt drives and tension them to manufacturers recommended specifications. Alignment of drive shafts in parallel and in series.
Inspection and fault finding techniques with a practical application on Conveyor systems.
All candidates receive a comprehensive Training Booklet that covers the course and an additional CD containing manufacturers information and engineering reference material.
