Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, you will understand the basic principles of operating pneumatic, fluid power circuits, the different types of Directional Control Valves (DCV’s), principles of operation and construction of Spool-type DCV’s, principles of operation and construction of pneumatic cylinders connected to DCV’s and DCV and cylinder fault finding techniques.

- Directional Valves, their construction and operation
- Pneumatic cylinders, their construction and operation
- Basic fault-finding techniques for DCV's on a pneumatic fluid power training rig
