Course overview

Our Introduction to PLC training course is designed to help electrical maintenance engineers grasp the basic function of a PLC (programmable logic controller), this course will help you or your staff diagnose, edit, and fault find PLC circuits.

Course details

Course Objectives:

PLC stands for ‘programmable logic controller’, which is a specialized computer used to control machines and processes, they’re commonly seen in various applications in industries such as the steel, automobile, chemical, and energy sector. Throughout this course you or your staff with gain a basic understanding of how to use some PLCs.

 

Course Outline:

  • Day 1: Digital Mathematics Scan Cycles Internal Architecture IEC 1131 Input & Output devices PNP & NPN devices
  • Day 2: Introduction to Ladder programmes (Ladder programming)
  • Day 3: Practical assessment of Day 1 & 2, start and standby Pump System This course is assessed practically although day’s 1 & 2 are classroom based.

 

Our introduction to PLC course is completely unique to HETA, we created the course as there was a lack of training covering the basic theoretical, and practical principles of the subject. Successful delegates will receive an in-house qualification, showing they have completed the course.
