Perfect if you or your staff have organisational responsibilities for managing health and safety risks, resources, and workplace practices, the IOSH Managing Safely accredited training course provides an understanding of what your H&S responsibilities as a manager are.

Course details

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of this course, you will understand the knowledge and tools to tackle the health and safety issues you’re responsible for and the importance of health & safety. The course lays an excellent foundation for further study to pursue a career in health and safety and gain qualifications accredited by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).

 

Course Outline:

  • Understand key reasons to manage health and safety in the workplace
  • List key terms relating to health and safety
  • Identify hazards and risks in the workplace, and how to manage them
  • Understand how to explain assessing, reducing, and controlling risk in the workplace
  • Describe the impact of the law on health and safety in the workplace
  • Understand how you can evaluate and respond to an incident
  • List benefits and characteristics of effective health and safety management systems
  • Define principles of good health and safety performance

 

The Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the chartered body and largest membership organisation for health and safety professionals. Upon completion of this course you will receive a 'managing safely' IOSH accredited H&S certification.
