HETA (Humberside Engineering Training Association) is proud to announce dynamic new partnerships with Wilberforce Sixth Form College, John Leggott College, and the University of Hull in a major step forward for engineering education, opportunity, and regional growth.
These powerful collaborations unite further and higher education with industry-leading training, creating clear, inspiring routes into engineering careers for young people across the Humber region. Together, we’re breaking down barriers, opening doors, and delivering on a shared responsibility: to ensure that students from all backgrounds and abilities have a pathway to a successful, high-value future.

By linking sixth form study and higher education with HETA’s industry-focused training and employer connections, students can now access tailored pathways that lead directly into apprenticeships, degree-level qualifications, and long-term careers in engineering and manufacturing.
These partnerships are rooted in collaboration, inclusion, and ambition. They will empower students to explore the exciting world of engineering through joint initiatives, cross-campus activities, and clear progression routes – whether they are leaving school at 16, pursuing A-levels, or entering higher education.
