Recently, Arcmaster has supplied us with state-of-the-art welding equipment, thanks to funding which aims to help the UK transition towards net zero.
The aim of the project is to introduce and train our apprentices and adult course delegates on the latest kit to fill the need for skilled welders across the region. Included in the kit is energy efficient Lincoln Electric MIG, TIG and MMA Welding Equipment, which will be used at our site in Hull.
Driven by the Department for Education, this has been funded through the Strategic Development Fund 2. Part of the brief was to identify and procure new equipment with lower energy consumption for us to play a small part in the Humber region moving to net zero. Lincoln Electric has an established relationship with HETA, and our highly experienced teaching staff recognised that Lincoln along with Arcmaster could offer help and guidance with their product range to help us meet our low carbon goals.
Going forward we’re going to integrate this into the existing curriculum and talk to learners about low energy welding and about the wider move to net zero and de-carbonisation.
We’d like to thank Arcmaster for once again proving to be a supplier of choice for HETA, Lincoln Electric for creating some of the best welding equipment on the market, and the Department for Education for the funding.
