We offer NVQ Level 3's in the following disciplines:

• Maintenance: Mechanical, Electrical, Multi-skilled
• Fitting & Assembly
• Machining
• Instrumentation
• Fabrication & Welding: Pipe welding, plating, sheet metal, Fabrication
• Technical Support

Who is an NVQ aimed at:

An NVQ is not a training course, it is designed to prove competency within the workplace. The candidate enrolled needs to be in an environment where they can gather sufficient evidence against the NVQ critieria. 

What is included in an NVQ:

Typically the NVQ is 8 - 12 units in length. For each unit, the delegate will need to complete a series of theory questions before completing a portfolio of job reports. Finally the HETA assessor will complete an observation.

How is the NVQ assessed: 

The NVQ is completed completely in the workshop. Each delegate will be assigned a HETA mentor who will complete in company reviews to help them progress the qualification. 

Duration of the NVQ:

The NVQ is led by the delegate but typically an NVQ Level 3 can be completed in 12 - 18 Months. The maximum registration time for an NVQ is 24 Months.
